As a professional photographer juggling family life and work, I find that my four year old sometimes feels left out of my professional life. Lately, he has been bugging me to take him with me on shoots. So, I decided to give him one of his own. We live in the Beautiful Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon and Downtown Medford seemed like a great place to tromp around with the kid & camera. Here’s our fun shoot – a la Judah Beans.
Oooooh! The fog has settled in out valley and it creates a real moody feel to images captured in this weather. Carissa & Dusty are a sweet local couple expecting their first child. They are funny, relaxed and sooo excited about their little boy’s arrival!
Donnyé is an absolute dream to photograph. She works easily in front of the lens and the camera loves her. Her relaxing, charismatic attitude makes her a joy to work with and her piercing blue eyes are just super-wow!
Nikki is go getter. She just finished her EMT training as is moving right on into studying Fire Science. Aside from being an absolutely beautiful girl, she has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Her mare, Twist, is her sweetie. The bond these two have is tangible as they pal around like best of friends. This was a SUPER fun session with plenty of silliness and laughter!
I loved this session with Kelsi. Almost every photo of her turned out great. Aside from being beautiful, this blond is also quite an accomplished equestrian; even holding the title of Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo Princess. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
I recently had the privilege of photographing the breathtaking Anna L. Ringo. Her amazing naturally curly, four-foot-long hair and beautiful skin tone really lent a shamanic feel to her photographs. These were shot at a local nature preserve in the Southern Oregon.
So, I’ve been busy. REALLY busy. Not only am I wrapped up in the newest addition to our family, but I have turned my sometimes-photography-gigs into a business. Lot’s of work and lot’s of fun. Here’s a very whimsy shoot from back in May. I loved playing with different colors while editing to lend variety to the session’s ambiance.
Here’s a session I did with my step daughter Kathleen when she was up for a visit. We were celebrating her promotion from 8th grade to High School (Howdidthathappen?!?!?) and many of the photos were taken wearing the special dress she bought just for that occasion. Anyways, she’s got the most lovely red hair so I really tried to play it up. Here are some of my favorites from that session.
